SE U(u) CH NO UCH C.I.E. SE V-10 WW-10 Don's Siden Sammet

The younger Flat Coated puppies were judged by Carina Östman and her
winner in the youngster class was our "Cash", Don's Cashmere . He also
made the final cut in Best Dog, so we were thrilled.

The older classes were judged by the original judge Kirsi Nieminen. Siden
won the huge Champion class and went on to be 2nd Best Bitch with CC and
Cacib, only beaten by the BIS-winner to be- "Malva"! Siden got by this the new
titles NO UCH and C. I .E !

Stockholm International Championship Show- 3rd of April

Among the Flatcoats our only entry was Rea- Don's Remind Me Baby- that made her debute in the open Class, going 2nd only beaten by the BOS-winner.

Aprox 30 Welshies were entered for the Swedish judge Börje Johansson. First of our lot was Anita Saldén Enerus "Laban"- SV VCH Don's Flyer- that went 2nd in Open class.

First and second in the Championclass and later in Best Dog went to our Ch Clussexx Pay Per View för Don´s, followed by Ch Don's Postman.

Last weekend was the double ch show in Bohus held. The Don's-entries were Carsten's & Urban's "Anna Scott"- aka SE U(u) CH NORD JW-08 Don's Dear Ms Welford. She did very well and finished BOS the first day and BOB the second day. Congratulations to the Welford kennel that also got the bitch-CC both days with the little sister of Anna Scott- "Bea"! - and Andreas' and Peters' puppy Don's Three Strange Loves, called Triss, that went Bis-3- Puppy In Show.

This weekend we all went to Birmingham and Cruft's- as usual... We enjoyed meeting friends from all around the world, looking at exciting dogs, meeting the spring, pub luncheons and a lot of laughing!
In the WSS ring we were thrilled to see Lena showing Jonna Vassbotn's "Daniel"- a k a Don's Dr McDreamy- to 2nd in Limit, only beaten by the res CC -winner.

In Moheda SSRK held a Champ Show on the Sumday. The Welshies were
judged by Fredrik Norgren. First out was Andreas Forslunds & Peter
Johanssons bitch puppy Don's Three Strange Loves. She did very well on
her debute and finished 2nd with HP.

Junior dogs winner was Mia Hansson's "Tim", aka Don's Timmy
Tomsson, with HP. Mia visade därefterthen showed Carsten's & Urban's
Ch Don's Postman to Best Dog and BOS.

In junior bitches little "Gwen" made her official debute. Don's
Tone Tomsdotter, owned by pernilla Magnusson, won the class with CK and
finished 4th Best Bitch, just behind the CC.

On the Saturday SSRK's Champ Show in i Piteå was held. Carola Burman-s "Calla" made her debute with flying colours as she finished as Best Puppy in Show!

The Swedish Spaniel & Retriever Club held a Championship Show in Mjölby
this day- The Welshies were judged by Patric Ragnarsson, and there were
just over 37 entries.

Young "Tim"- i e Mia Hansson's Don's Timmy Tomsson won the junior class
and went all the way to win the CC and Best Dog! This was his first CC, but
probably not his last. He is just over 12 months old. Second Best Dog went
to Carsten's & Urban's Ch Don's Postman. 3rd Best Dog went to the winner
of the Open class- Don's Flyer, owned by Anita Sallden-Enerus.

This snowy Friday evening our local Kennel Club invited the most succesful
show dogs from last year to a Match Show called Upplandsmästaren. After a
3 course dinner it was time for the dogs. The aprox 50 entered dogs were this
evening judged by Jan Stääv.

It was freezing cold as usual when SSRK held the Strömsholm Ch Show The Welshies were judged by Paula Reikiranta from Finland. She found her
Best Dog and BOS in Ch Don's Postman. Close behind him the CC-winner Don's Daylight, who by winning this CC got his crown. His owner Mia had a

The bitches were judged by Anna Hartwig Geschwindt .She placed "Core's" sister "Rea" , Don's Remind Me Baby- on the same place as Core- ie 2nd in a huge intermediate class with CK.In the open class our "Vilja"- Almanza Virgin Island- was placed 3rd with CK and finally "Siden" - Ch Don's Siden Sammet, was 2nd in the champion class and 2nd Best bitch.. Our Breeders group got 1 HP. A lovely but cold day with a lot of laughters!

Vilja is now mated to Leo- and the puppies are due around the 25th of March!

9th of January American Spaniel Club

The show year for all spaniels in the US is traditionally started in Philadelphia where the American Spaniel Club's Flushing Spaniel Show is held. This year aprox 80 Welshies were entered. They were judged by Robert Smith.

Open bitches were won by our own Ch Cleavehill Princess Patsy.
Princess has "emigrated" to hopefully have a litter by Ch Don's Full Fig ( that by the way won the Veteran class!) with our friends at the kennel
Clussexx. Princess finished reserve winners bitch -RWB- just behind the points - not a bad debute over there!

In the competition for BOB was US Ch Don's Swedish Miss- "Missy", owned by the
Killagay & Tudor kennels. We are very proud that she made "the cut", and was among the last ten competing for the top honours.

7th & 8th of January- My Dog Göteborg

The first show of the year was Gothenburg My Dog. The first day the Welshies were judged by Jens Karlsson, of the Art-Wave's prefix.

First in the ring was Don's Timmy Tomsson, that won the Junior class with HP.
"Tom" , SE U(u)Ch Clussexx Pay Per View For Dons, won Best dog with SE U(u)CH Don's Postman as 2nd Best dog, this day shown by Mia Hansson.

Winner of the bitches was Tom's sister "Katie", Clussexx Rolyart's Payback to Dons, that also got her 2nd CC. Just behind her was "City", Don's Citizen Jane.
